Regional Health and Safety Manager - Social Housing\n\nYorkshire & East Midlands\n50K - 55K + Package + Bonus \n\nWe're working with a leading construction and regeneration contractor to recruit an experienced Regional SHEQ Manager to support operations across Yorkshire and the East Midlands.\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality professional to play a key role in driving best practice across a diverse portfolio of Social Housing projects. Working closely with Regional Directors, operational teams and the Group Head of SHE, you'll ensure the successful implementation of SHEQ systems, ISO standards and a positive safety culture throughout the business.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProvide consistent SHEQ support across all regional operations.\n\nPartner with operational teams throughout the project lifecycle to ensure SHEQ considerations are embedded from planning through to completion.\n\nSupport the implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of ISO management systems.\n\nCarry out site inspections, audits and active monitoring, providing clear feedback and driving continuous improvement.\n\nInvestigate incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective and preventative actions.\n\nManage responses relating to insurance claims and incident investigations.\n\nLiaise with the HSE, Environment Agency, insurers and other external stakeholders where required.\n\nProduce SHEQ performance reports and trend analysis to support business improvement.\n\nWork closely with clients, Regional Directors and operational teams to develop and implement local SHEQ strategies.\n\nPromote a positive health, safety, environmental and quality culture across the region through coaching, mentoring and engagement.\n\nProvide technical advice and guidance on SHEQ legislation, compliance and industry best practice.\n\nAbout You\n\nNEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) in Occupational Health & Safety.\n\nEnvironmental qualification and a good understanding of environmental management.\n\nRecognised CITB Temporary Works qualification.\n\nStrong knowledge of Construction Design & Management (CDM) Regulations.\n\nPrevious experience within construction, refurbishment and/or social housing environments.\n\nSpecialist knowledge in areas such as asbestos, scaffolding, fire safety or gas safety would be advantageous.\n\nExcellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the business.\n\nA proactive, hands-on approach with the confidence to challenge and drive positive change.\n\nFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Yorkshire and the East Midlands.\n\nSalary & Benefits\n\nThis is a permanent, full-time position offering a competitive salary alongside an excellent benefits package, including:\n\nCompetitive salary based on experience.\n\nCar allowance.\n\nAnnual bonus scheme.\n\nPension contribution.\n\nLife assurance.\n\nPrivate healthcare.\n\nOpportunity to join a growing, forward-thinking business with a strong commitment to employee development and continuous improvement.\n\nIf you're an experienced SHEQ professional looking for your next regional leadership opportunity within a well-established and growing contractor, we'd love to hear from you
