Family Solicitor

We are currently working with a highly regarded Legal 500 firm in Milton Keynes that is looking to appoint an experienced Family Solicitor to join its established and growing Family Law team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven legal professional who is keen to work on high-quality matters within a supportive and ambitious environment, while benefiting from genuine career progression opportunities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing your own caseload of privately funded family law matters from initial instruction through to conclusion
• Advising clients on a range of family law issues including divorce, financial remedy proceedings, private children matters, cohabitation disputes, and separation agreements
• Providing clear, practical, and commercially focused legal advice tailored to clients' individual circumstances
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and professional referrers
• Supporting the continued growth and development of the Family Law department
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider firm to deliver an exceptional client experience
• Contributing to business development initiatives, networking activities, and the firm's profile within the local market
• Ensuring all matters are progressed efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of client care

The successful candidate:

• A qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with experience handling family law matters
• Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of private family law work
• Capable of managing a varied caseload independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication and client care skills
• A proactive and empathetic approach to supporting clients through often sensitive matters
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities
• Commercially aware with an interest in business development and relationship building
• A team player who thrives within a collaborative and supportive environment
