Cook\n\nLocation: Gloucestershire\n\nSalary: £30,000 - £33,000 per annum\n\nReports to: Home Manager / Bursar\n\nOverview\n\nWe are seeking a Cook to support the delivery of a high-quality catering service within a residential setting. The role involves preparing and serving nutritious, well-balanced meals while meeting a range of dietary and cultural needs.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nAssist with menu planning in collaboration with the Chef\nPrepare, cook, and serve meals in line with agreed menus\nCater for a variety of dietary requirements\nMaintain stock levels and ensure quality of ingredients\nFollow food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP procedures\nSupport compliance with inspections and implement improvements where required\nProvide cover for the Chef when needed\n\nAbout You\n\nBasic Food Hygiene Certificate\nGood literacy and numeracy skills\nExperience in a kitchen preparing meals for groups\nUnderstanding of food hygiene and health & safety standards\nPositive, reliable, and able to work independently and as part of a team\nA considerate approach when working with older people\n\nDesirable\n\nLevel 2 Diploma in Food Production and Cooking (or willingness to work towards)\nKnowledge of nutrition, special diets, and menu planning\nSome supervisory experience \n\nBlue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people
