Apprentice Mechanic - ABS47791

Aberdeenshire Council is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Fleet Services team as an Apprentice Mechanic, based at Aboyne Repair Depot.

This is your chance to gain hands-on experience while working towards a recognised industry qualification.

As an Apprentice Mechanic, you will work alongside experienced technicians maintaining and repairing a wide range of Council vehicles and plant, including:

• Vans

• Refuse collection vehicles

• Gritters and winter maintenance equipment

• Light and heavy plant machinery

You will be supported throughout your apprenticeship with structured on-the-job training and college-based learning.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

The working pattern is Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.

Fixed term for a period not exceeding 48 months.
