1-2-1 Teaching Assistant

Your new companyHays Education is looking for caring, dedicated, and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistants to support pupils in primary schools. If you are passionate about helping children achieve their potential and thrive in a classroom environment, we want to hear from you.Your new roleAs a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to a pupil throughout the school day, working closely with teachers and SENCOs to deliver an engaging and inclusive learning experience.

• Provide one-to-one support for a pupil within a primary school setting.
• Assist with learning activities in and out of the classroom.
• Support pupils with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and engagement in learning.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Support the emotional, social, and educational development of the child.

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience working with children in a school, childcare, or support setting is desirable.
• A patient, caring, and nurturing approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
