Withinthis business, we are looking t o recruit a Senior Consultant with proven skills in transport economics andforecasting for advisory work. The right individual for this key leadershiprole will help to develop our business further , working alongsideother team members to deliver proje cts for key clients - including , Department for Transport, Highways England,Financiers and Transport Operators. We are looking for candidate s with strong numeracy skills; with a drive and passion for the technical delivery of projects, and the management of activities involving one or more of the following; economic appraisal,demand forecasting, cost benefit analysis, a nd operating cost forecasting. Reporting to the project manager, thesuccessful candidate will play a key part in our deliveryteams, principally in: * Supporting transport appraisal; * Business case development; * Demand and economic forecasts for transport projects; * Developing strategies and plans; * Provision of analytical support to projects including feasibility studies/transport modelling/transport appraisal; and * Preparation/contribution to technical reports and notes The minimum qualifications for this position are: * Experience in transport planning * Degree qualified in a relevant subject, such as Economics; Mathematics; Statistics or Business related; * Excellent numerical skills are essential; * Strong analytical skills are essential; * Knowledge of appraisal (WEBTAG) and economic assessment The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience: * an MSc is desirable; Our Culture: Safety & health conscious, flexible working conditions, collaborative & friendly with regular social activities.
