Manufacturing / Process / Industrial Engineer This stable and successful family business based in Birmingham offers a range of engine cooling systems, heating and air conditioning systems and fluid reservoirs. They are the market leader for engine cooling and HVAC systems for the bus and coach market, supplying product globally. From a simple radiator design through to a complete cooling module with radiator/ charge air cooler and the option of viscous, hydraulic and electric fan drives, This company can provide the complete 3D design, prototype test and production supply. The Role The Manufacturing Engineer will work with the Production, Design and Quality Teams to ensure their products are manufactured to the highest possible standards. The Engineer will prescribe new and review current processes to ensure that they contain the maximum value adding content. The Engineer will liaise with all internal and external customers to ensure prompt resolution of Engineering, Manufacturing and Production issues. Key Skills / Qualifications / Experience Summary: - Manufacturing Engineering degree or equivalent - Manufacturing and mechanical experience and understanding - Good theoretical knowledge of lean manufacturing with experience of practical implementation - Basic electrical / electronics knowledge - People management skills - Influencing skills - Good Project Planning - Experience of new ISO 9001:2015 useful - Ability to work under pressure - New product Introduction - Ability to make sound judgment and execute quick decision making essential - Computer literacy, minimum competent in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel Person Specification: - Strong, confident, emotionally tough, able to lead and inspire others - Must be a good communicator both written and verbally - Driving license - Must be flexible with working hours to cater for business needs - Comfortable with a hands on approach but also able to step back and see the overall picture - Keen to face constant fresh challenges - Enthusiastic and dedicated Working Hours: 08.00-17.00 Monday to Thursday // 08.00-15.00 Friday. Total flexibility will be required Work Location: Tyseley, Birmingham or other sites dependent on business requirements
