A blue chip private sector organisation who provides a wide range of services to public and private sector is seeking two Head of Internal Communications & Engagement to join their expanding busy team on a full time permanent basis in Birmingham. You will be joining a truly global group, who as a combined business, employ c70,000 people and turnover in excess of £5 Billion. The Role: Head of Internal Communications and Engagement. The job holder will play an important role within the organisation, ensuring clear and consistent communication across the business, and delivering effective employee engagement using campaigns and tools that help engage and support our teams. They will implement and manage a range of internal communications and engagement channels, including online and print, as well as face to face events. The post holder will: Create, maintain and carry out the employee engagement and internal communications strategy Provide employee engagement and internal communications advice and support to colleagues, helping colleagues develop solutions to communications and engagement challenges Develop and deliver new creative and innovative engagement and internal communication plans Develop and deliver content using the most appropriate channel in order to engage, inform and inspire employees Develop communication channels that are measurable, and review the effectiveness of internal communications and employee engagement activities Support the Executive Team and Senior Management Team in providing general advice as required Collaborate with/oversee and supervise colleagues from other teams when working on cross-team projects Working closely with the External Communications and Reputation Management teams for consistent messaging, branding and strategies Manage an Internal Communications and Engagement Officer; supervising and monitoring their workload, approving projects, calling on their support where necessary, providing training and general guidance Essential Experience/Skills: Ability to present information (eg key messages, new guidelines, change management messages, statistics, performance results etc.) in an engaging and accessible way Creative and able to produce impactful visual and written content Highly organised and able to create strategic plans including managing complex timelines and deadlines Able to work from a brief specification to produce innovative and varied internal communications Comfortable advising colleagues in all areas and suggesting innovative methods of communication and engagement Effective communication skills to ensure clarity for colleagues and clients all any level Experience of overseeing colleagues, managing others' workloads and providing training and support Experience Relevant and demonstrable experience in internal communications and employee engagement roles within high profile and diverse organisations Experience of operating at all levels of the organisation, using people insight and business knowledge to support informed decision making Experience of working as an internal business partner to provide creative engagement and communication advice and solutions Able to create engaging, interesting content suitable for different audience groups and different communication channels Hands-on experience creating online or email newsletters, printed posters etc. Personal Attributes: An effective influencer Excellent written and verbal communication skills Able to think strategically and adjust to wider projects and plans An understanding of the impact the role has on wider business objectives An ability to work to tight deadlines and adapts/responds to changing requirements Attention to detail and focused on producing quality work Excellent time management skills, be able to effectively manage a range of activities and projects at once Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable with dealing with a wide range of people at all levels of the business both internally and externally A basic salary of £35-40k per annum (Dep on experience) + 23 days paid holidays (plus 8 statutory holidays), Life Assurance and Company pension.. we would need your CV sent in - by the next 48 hours as Managers are reviewing CVs nowWhy ApplyYou will be working for a progressive and cutting-edge employer with exceptional standards who offer fantastic career development opportunities.
