Administrator

Rate: £ 6.25 to £ 7.25 (contract/temp (per hour))

This is a temp to perm position.

The administrator is required to assist the day-to-day running of the general office. This will initially involve completing routine tasks but with the ability to develop into the role and complete more complex tasks.

A guide of the duties that are likely to include: (in no particular order)

Carry out reception duties, including handling of incoming calls and front of house.
Opening and distributing incoming post and preparing outgoing post for despatch.
Filing, data inputting, photocopying, cross-referencing and retrieving information.
Recording or updating information using computerised or manual systems.
Use of e-mail both internally to members of staff at the company, and externally to customers / suppliers when deemed necessary.
Ensure that organisation is presented to all visitors in a professional manner.
Following Worksheets and Monthly Business Calendar for day-to-day duties.
Undertake administrative support to other Senior Staff.

Hours;
Working hours are stated below, but candidate must be flexible to suit the customer and business requirements.
Typical office hours 08.30am – 5.00pm Monday to Thursday
08.30am – 4.00pm Friday
Standard weekly working hours; 39.0

Environment;
The work is typically office based, seated at a desk with a computer terminal in a predominately male environment. Daily interaction with other staff, outside organisations or members of the public.

Skills and interests;
Have a professional telephone manner.
Be IT competent with intermediate to advanced skills in Word, Excel and Outlook (company assessment tests will be used to verify).
Have competent keyboard and typing skills.
Be able to work efficiently and accurately, without close supervision.
Be able to concentrate on routine and repetitive tasks for long periods.
